- If no rape incident occurs in Delhi after this verdict, I assure you that we will not appeal in higher courts
- But if rapes recur, then the idea of sending out a message with this verdict will be proved to be flawed
- Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde had already spoken to all concerned before September 10 to ensure this was the outcome of the verdict
- The convicts are disappointed but they always knew the outcome
