"When I came to Kashmir, the first thing I said was I will not allow any government on the basis of defection... Jammu and Kashmir needs a stable government which can support the security forces," says Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik. "It was not in the interests of the state, that is why I took this decision (to dissolve the assembly)."
