A couple comes to a polling station in Bharuch to cast their vote in the Gujarat assembly election 2017 before their wedding ceremony. The Bharuch assembly constituency is one of the largest industrial areas including Ankleshwar GIDC and it is sometimes called the chemical capital of India. In the 2012 Gujarat elections, BJP's Dushyantbhai Patel won from this seat while Congress's Sandip Mangrola could not win. Patel Dushyantbhai Rajnikant of BJP is fighting the Gujarat assembly election 2017 against Patel Jayeshbhai Ambalal of the Congress.
