President and First Lady took the PM for a tour of the WH in a great gesture

There was a lot of conversation over dinner including policy issues

Very warm, very open, very cordial exchange

Great deal of ease between President and Prime Minister

They were really very comfortable with each other

Most discussion were on strategic issues

It was very detailed, extensive and focused

The PM saw the President as a force of change

There were some exchanges on their political perspectives

The over-arching theme of policy discussions was how India and US were mutually supportive

There were discussions on defence and security issues, connectivity, Counter-terrorism, Afghanistan, Indian Ocean, Middle East and UNSC

It was also a recognition that India was major engine of growth

Some talk on the tech side on innovation, entrepreneurship specifically digital partnership
