Former Delhi Chief Secretary Omesh Sehgal, commenting on the office of profit controversy, said, "In Constitution, it is written that any legislator or MP (member of parliament) cannot hold office and if they do then they will lose membership."
"It does not matter whether office of profit it is small or not. When you are fighting elections, these things clear and you resign. In Jaya Bachchan case, it has been gone to an extent that using servants and office will also be termed as office of profit," he was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI.
