Faulty EVMs replaced in some polling stations, says Election Commission

After reports came that some EVMs have malfunctioned in Surat in the Gujarat assembly election 2017, the Election Commission said faulty electronic voting machines are being replaced immediately. The election watchdog said faulty EVMs have already been replaced in some polling stations. The EVMs malfunctioned in seven-eight polling stations, the Election Commission said. The election regulator said there are a number of EVMs in reserve and officials are checking for any fault.
