Yamaha Motor India's sales up 67.4% in Aug

Two-wheeler maker Yamaha Motor India Sales reported 67.4 per cent growth in total sales at 60,996 during August 2013 as compared to the corresponding period last year.

The company had sold 36,432 units in August 2012, it said in a statement.

The company sold 42,990 units in August 2013 as against 27,297 units sold in same month last year in the domestic market thereby registering a domestic sales growth of 57.5 per cent.

In the export markets, the company sold 18,006 units in August 2013 as compared to 9,135 units in the same month last year achieving a growth of 97 per cent in export sales, it added.
