Yamaha extends contract with John Abraham for 2 years

Japanese motorbike maker Yamaha has extended its contract with Bollywood actor John Abraham as its brand ambassador for another two years.

John's existing contract is going to expire by March-end. Considering the response the company has received with the endorsement of its product by the actor, Yamaha Motors India Ltd (YMIL) decided to extend it.

"We have extended the contract with John Abraham for the next two years," YMIL vice president-sales and marketing Roy Kurian told reporters here at the Auto Expo.

The actor, who today visited Yamaha Pavilion at the Auto Expo, and is a "big fan" of the brand, quipped if the company had not extended the contract he would have gone to YMIL managing director Masaki Asano to seek an extension.

Apart from John, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone also endorses Yamaha.

YMIL had signed Deepika Padukone in July 2012 as the face of Yamaha Scooters in India.
