Wipro Gains 3% on Reports of $400 Million Order

Shares in Wipro gained over 3 per cent to a high of Rs 558.90 on Thursday after reports said that the IT major has bagged a large multi-year infrastructure management contract from ABB.

The value of the contract from the Swiss engineering giant was pegged at $400 million, the largest ever deal for the Indian outsourcer since July 2014, reports added.

As of 9.30 a.m. shares in Wipro traded 1.47 per cent higher at Rs 549 apiece, outperforming the broader Nifty, which was up 1 per cent.
