VST Industries Shares Gain On Q4 Results

Shares of VST Industries gained as much as 3 per cent to touch a day high of Rs 1,837 on Thursday, following the announcement of fourth quarter earnings yesterday. The Hyderabad-based tobacco company's net profit jumped 21 per cent year-on-year to Rs 49.3 crore in the March quarter.

VST Industries's revenue increased by 23 per cent to Rs 270 crore from Rs 219 crore reported in same quarter a year ago.

Meanwhile, the board of directors of the company also recommended a dividend of Rs 70 per share.

Shares of VST Industries ended 0.94 per cent higher at Rs 1,715 outperforming the broad market indicator Sensex that ended 0.14 per cent higher.
