United Spirits Q3 net up 71 per cent at Rs 81 crore

United Spirits Ltd (USL) today posted 71.16 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 80.55 crore for the third quarter ended December.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs Rs 47.06 crore for the same period of previous fiscal year, USL said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 2,174.01 crore for the third quarter, as against Rs 1,953.94 crore for the corresponding period of fiscal year 2011-12.

Shares of United Spirits today closed at Rs 1,855.75 on the BSE, down 0.53 per cent from its previous close.
