Torrent Pharma surges 12% on strong Q3 numbers

Shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd surged over 12 per cent after the company posted a 41 per cent increase in its net profit for the October-December quarter.

At 1.08 pm, its shares was trading 8.1 per cent higher at Rs 514.

Torrent's third-quarter profit margin expanded to 23.5 per cent from 19.6 percent in the same quarter a year earlier, while costs only marginally increased.
