World's 18th largest motor vehicle maker Tata Motors reported total sales of commercial and passenger vehicles at 65,582 units (including exports) during December, of which 65,582 units were sold in the domestic market.
Tata Motors sold 47,515 units of commercial vehicles, 37,649 units of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and 9,866 units of medium and heavy commercial vehicles during this month.
The company had reported total sales of 66,500 units in November, which was 13.43 per cent less than total sales during the same month a year ago.
Latest in the Tata stable, Manza Club Class and Safari Storme continue to gain popularity in the auto market with the latter released only in the NCR, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Goa for the time being.
From the passenger class, total sales of 4-seater Nano and 5-seater Indica and Indigo was reported at 11,257 units whereas cumulative sales of passenger vehicles was at 183,977 units during this month.
Tata Motors’ cumulative sales (including exports) for the thirteenth fiscal year is at 6,13,750 units.
