Siemens up after $26 million contract

Credit Suisse has upgraded Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automaker, to outperform from underperform.

Shares of Siemens Ltd, the Indian unit of Siemens AG, were trading higher on Tuesday, a day after the company said it received an order worth Rs 130 cr. The contract was to modernize the electricity distribution system in the western Indian state of Maharashtra.

At 10:05 a.m., the company's shares were up 2.6 per cent at Rs 786.40. At 11.31, they are up trading at Rs 790, up 1.39 per cent over the previous day’s close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
