Sensex Struggles, Broader Markets Down On Profit-Taking
12:10 pm: The Sensex and Nifty traded flat with a negative bias in noon trade. The broader markets - smallcaps and midcaps - also struggled on profit-taking after outperforming in the past few sessions.

12:01 pm: The BSE midcap index (down 0.60 per cent) and smallcap index (down 0.12 per cent) struggle amid profit-taking.

9:32 am: GAIL, ONGC and RIL were among the top gainer in Nifty50 pack after a surge in global oil prices.

9:31 am: The India factory PMI and some auto companies will announce sales numbers today. This will offer a first assessment of the impact on manufacturing since demonetisation on November 9.

9:30 am: Amar Singh, head advisory at Angel Broking, says that Nifty faces key hurdle at 8,300.
