
State Bank of India (SBI) provides the widest network of ATMs in the country
SBI or State Bank of India provides the widest network of ATMs in the country (more than 43,000 ATMs across India) to customers. SBI account holders can transact free of cost at the ATMs of State Bank group and its wholly-owned subsidiaries like SBI Commercial and International Bank Ltd using their ATM-cum-debit card. Customers are allowed withdrawals of up to Rs. 1 lakh per day (both national and international) and online purchases of up to Rs. 2 lakh through SBI ATM cards. However, the daily cash withdrawal limit for SBI account holders varies depending on the type of card. Here are the different ATM-cum-debit cards of SBI and their cash withdrawal limits:
Type of SBI Debit Cards
SBI Classic Debit Card
SBI's Classic debit card is the most popular debit card offered by the bank. This card allows cash withdrawals up to Rs. 40,000 per day. The minimum amount that you can withdraw using this card is Rs 100. However, if you make online transactions or shop using your debit card at point of sales, a daily limit of Rs. 50,000 will be applicable, SBI said on its website. SBI does not charge anything for issuing this card. Annual maintenance charges (AMC) applicable on this card is Rs. 100 plus 18 per cent GST.
SBI Silver International Debit Card
Intended to promote cashless shopping, this card has a limit of Rs 75,000 for point of sales or e-commerce transactions. However, for ATM cash withdrawals, the maximum and minimum limit remains same as that of classic card at Rs 40,000 and Rs 100. Issuance charge for this card is nil but you have to pay an AMC of Rs 150 plus tax from the second year onwards.
SBI Global International Debit Cards
Features of these cards are mostly same as that of SBI Silver International debit card except for the minimum cash withdrawal limit per day. Holders of this card have to withdraw minimum Rs 500 per transaction.
SBI Gold International Debit Card
The Gold International Debit Card of SBI has a daily cash withdrawal limit of Rs 50,000. For international cash withdrawals, the limit will be equivalent of Rs 50,000 in local currency of that country. For online transactions and point of sales the maximum limit in this card is Rs 2,00,000. Issuance charge for this card is nil but an AMC of Rs 150 plus tax will be charged from second year onwards.
SBI Platinum International Debit Card
This card offers higher limits for both ATM and online transactions/point of sales purchase. You can withdraw up to Rs 1 lakh cash per day using this ATM-cum-debit card and online transactions of up to Rs 2 lakh per day is allowed in this card. SBI charges a fee of Rs 306 for issuing this card while AMC for this card is Rs 200 plus GST of 18%.
SBI ATM Withdrawal Limit: Withdraw Up To Rs 2 Lakh Per Day Using SBI Business Debit Cards
SBI or State Bank of India has some special debit cards for its business customers where it offers higher cash withdrawal and online transaction limit along with cash deposit facility at cash deposit machines. These cards can be used at SBI's over 43,000 ATM machines across the country and also at other bank ATMs. These business debit cards provide a daily cash withdrawal limit of up to Rs 2 lakh and online transaction limit of up to Rs 5 lakh.
SBI Business Debit Cards
SBI offers two business debit cards, which allow higher ATM withdrawal and online transaction limit compared to normal ATM-cum-debit cards.
SBI Pride Debit Card
This business debit card provides a daily cash withdrawal limit of Rs 1 lakh and online/PoS limit of Rs 2 lakh. This business card also allows cash deposits of Rs 49,900 per day at cash deposit machines. SBI charges no fees for issuing this card but the annual maintenance charge for this debit-cum-ATM card is Rs 300 plus tax. This debit card also provides 1 reward points for every Rs 200 you shop, dine out, fill fuel, book travel or spend online.
The State Bank Pride cardholder shall be provided with free insurance (accidental death only) of Rs. 2 Lacs, the bank said on its website. The card also carries a purchase protection for theft/damage up to 90 days from the date of purchase up to Rs. 5,000 in respect of transactions carried out at the Points of Sale/merchant establishments.
SBI Premium Debit Card
The SBI Premium Debit Card comes with a cash withdrawal limit of Rs 2 lakh per day and online /PoS transaction limit of Rs 5 lakh per day. These card holders can also deposit up to Rs 49,900 per day cash at SBI cash deposit machines. While, the issuance charge for this card is nil, an annual maintenance charge of Rs 300 plus tax will be charged from second year onwards on this card.
You will also get 1 reward points for every Rs 200 you spend using this card. The SBI Premium Debit Card holders shall be provided with free insurance (accidental death only) of Rs. 2 Lacs, the bank said on its website. The card also carries a purchase protection for theft/damage up to 90 days from the date of purchase up to Rs. 5,000 in respect of transactions carried out at the Points of Sale/merchant establishments.
