Saw My First Computer At IIT: Google CEO Sundar Pichai

Google chief executive officer Sundar Pichai interacts with students at his alma mater IIT Kharagpur in West Bengal.

• We try hard to build products that work for everyone 
• In order to get Google working in India, you need to get it to work in as many languages as possible 
• It works even in rural situations, with different dialects and so on 
• Need to bring down entry-level smartphone prices to $30 level
• Working on digitising payments 
• Indian will be a global player in digital economy
• And will be competitive with any economy in the world 

• Lots of competition out there
• I heard people start preparing for IIT as soon as the eighth grade 
• It's important to keep your hopes and dreams and try to follow them 
• Most of how your life plays up is up to you

• I was made to carry baggages across railway platform by seniors... it's a long platform 

• Mathematics is foundational 
• Machine learning algorithms is all mathematics
