Pharmaceutical company Sanofi India has offered a special one-time interim dividend of Rs 193 per equity share. The board of directors of the Pharma major in their meeting held on July 26, declared the one-time special dividend per share at a face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year ending 31 December 2022, according to a Mint report.
Earlier, the company announced that it has fixed August 8 as the record date for the purpose of payment of the one-time special interim dividend. The said dividend will be paid on or after August 22, the Mint report added quoting a company filing.
"The Board of Directors of the Company at its Meeting held today has declared a non-time special interim dividend of Rs. 193 per equity share of Rs. 10 each for the financial year ending 31st December 2022,” the company said in a regulatory filing, the report added.
On BSE, Sanofi India was trading 3.54 percent lower at Rs 6,365 at 1:40 pm on Wednesday. The market cap of the company is currently around Rs 15,209.01 crore.
The firm had reported a net profit of Rs 120.4 crore for the April-June quarter. This was lower than the Rs 178.3 crore net profit recorded in the same quarter last year and also a decline from the Rs 238.4 crore recorded in the preceding quarter.
The revenue from operations of Sanofi India also slumped from Rs 789.1 crore in Q2 2021 to Rs 699.3 crore in the quarter ended June 2022. This was also lower than the Rs 707 crore revenue recorded in Q1 2022.
The total income of Sanofi India was at Rs 715 crore in Q2 2022 as against Rs 806.2 crore in Q2 2021 and Rs 731.4 crore in Q1 2022.
Sanofi India is one of the entities of the French pharmaceutical and healthcare multinational Sanofi. It manufactures and distributes a wide range of medicines for the treatment of diabetes, cardiology, thrombosis and central nervous system ailments.
