Salman Khan's Kick Closes in More Box-Office Records

Salman Khan-starrer Kick has already shattered many box-office records and more are likely to fall. Kick already has been the highest Bollywood grosser of so far this year, pulling in over Rs 210 crore at the domestic box office, says trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Kick's opening week collection of Rs 155 crore is the second highest ever in the first week, after Dhoom 3, says boxofficeindia.com

Kick has already collected Rs 62 crore from overseas markets till Wednesday and the collections could go up even higher, Mr Adarsh adds.

With Kick, director Sajid Nadiadwala has also moved into record books. He has become director whose first movie has grossed over Rs 200 crore.

According to boxofficeindia.com, Kick may become the highest-ever grosser in single screens. Dhoom 3 collected Rs 85 crore in single screens and Kick has grossed around Rs 56 crore in the first week.

Kick's success makes Salman Khan the first Bollywood actor to have seven Rs 100 crore movies to his credit, according to Mr Adarsh: Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ready, and Jai Ho.

Released on July 25, Kick also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, among others. Kick was released over 5,000 screens in India and as well as 42 other countries.
