Reliance Industries (RIL) shares jumped to clock a new 52-week high on Thursday. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Reliance Industries stock rose as much as 1.5 per cent to Rs 1,410.90, marking the highest intraday level recorded since it went ex-bonus on September 6, 2017. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the Reliance Industries share price rose as much as 1.65 per cent to Rs 1,412.40. The conglomerate led by billionaire Mukesh Ambani had last week reported a record net profit of Rs 10,362 crore for the quarter ended March 31.

Reliance Industries shares had advanced by Rs 45.2 apiece - or 3.36 per cent - in the past two sessions, and were on course to close higher for a third session in a row.

At 12:37 pm, Reliance Industries shares traded 0.94 per cent higher at Rs 1,403 apiece on the BSE, outperforming benchmark index Sensex that was up 0.14 per cent at the time.
