RCom Q3 net profit seen to fall 12.5% at Rs 220.5 crore

Reliance Communications, India's second biggest wireless company by subscribers, will report earnings for the quarter ending December 2001 today.

A brokers' poll conducted by NDTV Profit estimates sequential income to rise 2.5% at Rs 5,165 crore against Rs 5,040 crore. However, profit after tax (PAT) is seen to fall 12.5% at Rs 220.5 crore against Rs 252 crore quarter on quarter.

Shares of the company traded with over 1% gains in early trade but selling pressure was witnessed in the counter in-line with the broader markets. RCom traded 0.37% lower at Rs 94.70 on the Bombay Stock Exchange at 1220 hours. The Sensex was down 110 points at 17,720.
Wireless revenue is expected to grow at 2.5% against 2.1% (QoQ). Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) margins are seen to grow at 32.2% against 31.8% (QoQ).

Minutes of usage per subscriber are seen to jump at 300 minutes against 227 minutes. Average revenue per minute is seen flat at 0.45 paisa but average revenue per user is likely to grow 2% (QoQ).
