Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd (RBNL) consolidated net loss for the third quarter ended  December has widened to Rs 28.73 crore due to increase in overall expenditure, including production costs.  

In the October-December quarter last fiscal, RBNL's consolidated net loss was Rs 4.58 crore, the company said in a  filing to the BSE.

Its consolidated net sales for the three months ended December 31, 2011 increased 14.39 per cent to Rs 76.75 crore,  as against Rs 67.09 crore in the Q3, 2010-11.

The company's expenditure during the quarter increased to Rs 106.76 crore from Rs 72.98 crore in the third quarter of  last fiscal.

RBNL's scrips closed at Rs 59.45 per share, down 1 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
