Rate Sensitive Stocks Trade Mixed as RBI Keeps Rates on Hold

Interest rate sensitive stocks like banking, real estate and auto shares trade mixed on Tuesday after the Reserve Bank of India held key lending rate (repo rate) at 7.25 per cent broadly meeting analysts expectation.
  The Bank Nifty was down 0.05 per cent, CNX Auto, NSE's benchmark index for auto companies was up 0.51 per cent. The realty index of National Stock Exchange, CNX Realty was up 0.23 per cent.
  IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank were among the prominent losers in Nifty, down between 0.5-1.5 per cent.
  Banks, auto and realty stocks would have been the prime beneficiaries if RBI would have cut the lending rates today.


Banking stocks have been rallying for last five trading sessions in a row prior to the RBI's credit policy.The Bank Nifty had gained 3.8 per cent in last five sessions.
