Farm input company PI Industries Ltd reported on Wednesday an over two-fold increase in standalone net profit at Rs 55.29 crore for the quarter ended September 30 on higher income.
It had posted net profit of Rs 25.83 crore in the same quarter last fiscal year, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Net income rose by 55 per cent to Rs 462.76 crore during the quarter under review of this fiscal year, as against Rs 298.42 crore in the same period previous fiscal year.
Expenses increased to Rs 278.66 crore in the quarter, but financial costs remained lower at Rs 2.66 crore.
Shares in PI Industries, on Wednesday, ended at RS 165.90 apiece on the BSE, up 3.3 per cent from the previous close.
