Petrol, Diesel Prices Remain Unchanged Across Metros On Thursday
Petrol, Diesel Price Today: Petrol and diesel prices are steady across the four metros on Thursday, September 9, 2021. In the national capital, petrol prices were unchanged at Rs 101.19 per litre and diesel rates were constant at Rs 88.62 per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation. Among the four metro cities, petrol and diesel prices are still the highest in Mumbai, according to the state-run oil refiner. Fuel rates vary across the states due to value-added tax.
State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel rates on a daily basis, considering the crude oil prices in international markets and the rupee-dollar exchange rates. Any changes in petrol, diesel prices are implemented with effect from 6 am every day.
Meanwhile, oil rose more than 1 per cent on Wednesday as U.S Gulf of Mexico producers made slow progress in restoring output after Hurricane Ida.
Brent was up 89 cents, or 1.2 per cent, at $72.58 a barrel and U.S West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose 86 cents, or 1.3 per cent, to $69.21 a barrel.
