HDFC Bank, India's largest bank by market capitalisation, on Tuesday said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approved the appointment of Sashidhar Jagdishan as its managing director and chief executive officer. Mr Jagdishan will succeed Aditya Puri, who is due to retire on October 26.
