Pantaloons Q3 Loss Widens to Rs 42 Crore

New Delhi: Pantaloons Fashions and Retail Ltd, part of the Aditya Birla group, on Thursday reported a net loss of Rs 42.78 crore for the quarter ended December 2014, due to higher expenses.

The company had reported net loss of Rs 15.66 lakh for the corresponding quarter a year ago, it said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales during the quarter under review were at Rs 441.14 crore, up 7.39 per cent from Rs 410.75 crore in the year-ago period.

Total expenses grew 13.10 per cent to Rs 462.07 crore as against Rs 408.52 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Shares in the company, on Thursday, ended at Rs 122 apiece on the BSE, down 0.04 per cent from the previous close.
