Ola on Monday launched a four-week-long contest called "Ola Partners League (OPL)" for its driver partners. Under Ola Partners League, Ola's driver partners will get a chance to win cars and consumer goods, among other prizes, during the ongoing cricket season. Ola said its driver partners across Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Pune can participate in the Ola Partners League. Ola has roped in cricketer Irfan Pathan and Mandira Bedi, an actress and television presenter, as brand ambassadors for its driver partner engagement initiative, the ride-hailing service said in a press release on Monday. Under Ola Partners League, Ola's driver partners will earn "runs" by answering questions on their Ola app based on their every day bookings and redeeming them against exciting prizes including cars, TVs, and scholarships in leading cricket academies for their children, it added.

The Ola Partners League or OPL, which opened on April 24, will be live till May 20, 2017. Irfan Pathan and Mandira Bedi will promote the scheme among driver partners, Ola said.

"Through OPL, we are presenting our partners an opportunity to play their favorite game virtually and win exciting rewards. As a homegrown company, we have been building solutions and initiatives for our driver partners and their families to enable their professional and personal growth, OPL is another step in that direction," Ola COO Vishal Kaul said.

All-rounder Irfan Pathan said, "...Ola Partners League is a great initiative to support driver partners by playing a simple yet engaging game directly from their smartphones. As the ambassador for Ola Partners League, I am looking forward to encouraging driver partners to come forward to participate and win big this cricket season."

All runs scored by driver partners in each city get accumulated under a 'City Score' and top driver partners from the winning city stand to win mega prizes along with the opportunity of meeting Irfan Pathan and Mandira Bedi, Ola further said.

"Initiatives like the OPL reflect on Ola's commitment in creating relevant opportunities for the driver partners. Moreover, the initiative to identify cricketing talent within the driver partner kids is quite encouraging as the best sports talent in the country generally comes from the grassroots. I am excited to be part of this initiative and confident that this campaign will yield fruitful results," Ms Bedi said.

Ola (formerly Olacabs) was founded by IIT Bombay alumni Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati in January 2011.
