NIIT Posts 38% Rise in Second Quarter Profit

New Delhi: IT training firm NIIT on Wednesday reported a 38.30 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 7.33 crore for the fiscal second quarter that ended on September 30, 2015.

The company had registered a net profit of Rs 5.3 crore for the corresponding a year ago.

Total income from operations was at Rs 108.12 crore in the quarter under review, down 18.20 per cent, from Rs 132.18 crore in the year-ago period.

Shares in NIIT Ltd, on Wednesday, ended 2.2 per cent lower at Rs 98 apiece on the BSE.
