NCC Ltd (formerly Nagarjuna Constructions) said on Wednesday that its net profit for the quarter ended March 31 soared over two fold to Rs 12.3 crore.
Net profit for the same period during the previous fiscal year was Rs 4.61 crore, the construction and infrastructure company said in a statement.
The firm reported Rs 2,032 crore turnover (excluding other income) for the quarter under review as against Rs 2,055 crore posted in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
For the full financial year (2012-13), turnover stood at Rs 6,968 crore (excluding other income), up from Rs 6,665 crore reported in the previous fiscal year, the statement said.
Net profit for FY13 stood at Rs 56.4 crore as against Rs 54.91 crore in FY12.
The order book of the company stood at Rs 18,555 crore as of March 31, 2013.
The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 15 per cent (Rs 2 per share) subject to approval of the shareholders, it said.
NCC Ltd shares, on Wednesday, ended at Rs 34.35 apiece on the BSE, down 2.14 per cent from the previous close.
