Reliance Jio had teamed up with Apple to launch the latest iPhone 8 and iPhone X along with Jio connections in order to garner more users for its telecom network.
Reliance Jio has promised to buy back the new models of iPhones after 12 months for 70 per cent of the iPhone's price. According to Jio, customers who buy Apple's iPhone 8/ iPhone 8 Plus/ iPhone X models and recharge with Jio for a plan worth Rs 799 every month are eligible for the buy-back plan.
Jio has listed two prepaid and postpaid offers worth Rs 799, under the 12-month contract. For prepaid users, it has free voice calls, 3GB data per day, 100 SMSes/day and complimentary subscription to Jio Apps. The validity of the plan is 28 days. Postpaid users get the same benefits, along with an extended validity for two more days,that is for 30 days.
The iPhone X Jio pre-order plan ended on November 3.
Airtel also tried to woo the customers by offering Rs 10,000 cashback on iPhone X on Citi Bank credit cards.
Though the Airtel's iPhone X cashback offer has also lapsed, the iPhone 7 is still available at Airtel stores for Rs 7,777 but only when used in conjunction with the post-paid plan of Rs 2,499 per month for next 24 months. iPhone 7 (128 GB) is available for Rs 16,300 down payment followed by Rs 2,499 postpaid plan that will last for 24 months. iPhone 7Plus (32 GB) is available for Rs 17,300 down payment when clubbed with the post-paid plan of Rs 2,499. The Apple iPhone 7plus (128 GB) is available for Rs 26,000 down payment on the same post-paid plan of Rs 2,499.
