"The IIT professionals go outside the state for jobs. If the TCS opens a centre in Jharkhand the youth could get jobs in the state itself and could accelerate the economic system of the state," said a statement quoting Mr Das during his meeting with Mr Mistry here.
Stating that his government has decided to make Ranchi and Jamshedpur as an information technology hub, Mr Das told Mr Mistry that the Tata Group could lend its support through software development centre.
The minister also proposed Mr Mistry to consider opening centres in Jharkhand on the pattern of Tata Institute of Fundamental Researches, Mumbai, and National Centre for Performing Arts.
The statement said that the Tata group would seriously initiate all the proposals and the chief minister committed that the government would support it in every possible way.
