Mahindra Holidays unveils new brand identity; to add 1000 rooms

Leading vacation ownership company, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd today unveils new brand identity in respect of its flagship brand "Club Mahindra" and chalked out future expansion plans which include adding 1000 rooms by FY 15 in its properties.

Club Mahindra's new brand identity features a symbol made up of four hearts coming together. Inspired by the 'colours of holidays', the hearts are in vibrant shades of blue, yellow, orange and green, symbolise families and friends coming together.

"Over the past two decades, Club Mahindra has done much to change the perception with its world-class properties and unique holiday experiences. We are India's leading vacation ownership company with over 1,60,000 members.

"This fresh new brand identity reflects its renewed focus on delivering the best vacations to our members across the country," Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra told reporters here.

With 41 resorts across the country and overseas, Club Mahindra has created a wide footprint not limited to the borders of India. The company has opened resorts in Dubai, Bangkok, Kaula Lumpur and Innsbruck (Austria)," Mahindra Holidays managing director and CEO Rajiv Sawhney said.

Club Mahindra's 41 resorts in India and abroad has 2,500 rooms capacity. The company now plans to add another 1,000 rooms by March 2015 as part of its expansion plans, Mr Sawhney said, adding that each room costs between Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore.

The company has already identified several properties and Eastern part of the country and looking at expansion in Sri Lanka and Malaysia, he added.
