The move comes after the airline’s staff earlier this week said that it will chalk out an action plan if it does not get the salary for May till November 17.
The airline’s pilots and engineers, who were on strike since October 1 over non-payment of salaries, had called off their protest after the management promised to pay three months’ dues by Diwali. While two tranches had been paid on time, the third was pending until now.
"March salary will be paid on or before October 25...the April salary on or before October 31 and May salary before Diwali. In essence, they will receive three months of salary before Diwali," chief executive Sanjay Aggarwal had said.
