Kick is set to be Salman Khan's highest grossing film in the domestic market ever, as it knocks on the Rs 200-crore club's door.

"Like I pointed out earlier, KICK is Salman's seventh entry into the 100 cr (crore) Club and is all set to be Salman's first film to cross over to the 200 cr Club, thus becoming Salman's highest grosser in the domestic market," trade analyst Taran Adarsh said on Monday.

Kick released on Friday, July 25 and grossed Rs. 100 crore in box-office collections in its very first weekend.
"#Kick [Week 2] Fri 9.22 cr, Sat 10.62 cr. Grand total: Rs 183.93 cr nett. India biz. Racing towards Rs 200 cr. BLOCKBUSTER! (sic)," Mr Adarsh tweeted on Sunday.

The other Rs 100 crore grossers of 2014 so far have been Jai Ho, 2 States, Holiday and Ek Villain.

Kick's success makes Salman Khan the first Bollywood actor to have seven Rs 100 crore movies to his credit: Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ready, and Jai Ho, Mr Adarsh had tweeted earlier.

Kick is a remake of the hit 2009 Telugu film of the same name and the screenplay for the hindi version was adapted by Chetan Bhagat and Sajid Nadiadwala, who's also the director-producer of the movie. The film has been released under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner and is Mr Nadiadwala's directorial debut.

Kick stars Salman Khan in the lead role, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, Mithun Chakraborty and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
