New Delhi: IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd on Wednesday reported a 11.77 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 150.39 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014 on the back of lower costs.
The company had registered a net profit of Rs 134.56 crore for the corresponding period a year ago, it said in a filing to the BSE.
However, the company's income from operations in the April-June quarter declined to Rs 1,010 crore, over Rs 1,032 crore in the same quarter of FY'14, it said.
Total expenses came down to Rs 623.79 crore, over Rs 699.37 crore in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year, it said.
Tax expenses dropped 27.01 per cent to Rs 45.58 crore, over Rs 62.45 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY'14.
