Honda two-wheeler sales up 22 per cent in January

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported 21.63 per cent growth in its total sales for January 2013 at 2,30,304 units.

The company's total sales had stood at 1,89,353 units in the corresponding month of the last year.

Motorcycle sales jumped 54.53 per cent to 1,18,760 units in January from 76,850 units in January 2012, HMSI said in a statement.

The company, however, reported a marginal decrease in its scooter sales at 1,11,544 units from 1,12,503 units in January 2012, it said.
