HDFC Mutual Fund Sells 2% Stake In Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical

New Delhi: Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (CGCEL) on Tuesday said HDFC Mutual Fund has trimmed its stake in the company by 2.01 per cent to 7.20 per cent by sales of shares worth 168 crore in the open market.

According to a filing by CGCEL to the BSE, HDFC Mutual Fund decreased its shareholding in the company by 2.02 per cent on June 13, 2016.

The transaction was carried on June 13. Based on the weighted average price of Rs 132.65 per share, the deal is estimated to be worth Rs 167.89 crore.

The company was listed on the BSE in May after being demerged from its parent firm Crompton Greaves.

Shares in Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical, on Tuesday, ended 2.40 per cent higher at Rs 136.60 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index finished nearly flat.
