New Delhi: Electrical goods maker Havells India on Wednesday reported a 4.33 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 116.21 crore for the third quarter that ended on December 31, 2014.
The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 121.47 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Net sales rose to Rs 1,236.22 crore for the third quarter, up 5.29 per cent as compared to Rs 1,174.03 crore a year ago, Havells India Ltd said in a filing to the BSE.
While revenue from switchgears grew 5.88 per cent to Rs 327.49 crore, that from cable went up by 4.22 per cent to Rs 495.14 crore.
During the quarter under review, revenue from lighting and fixtures segment remained flat at Rs 193.99 crore while its electric consumer durables segment reported growth of 11.71 per cent at Rs 230.82 crore.
Shares in Havells, on Wednesday, ended at Rs 269.05 apiece on the BSE, down 2.82 per cent from the previous close.
