GoAir's Latest Offer: Fly on Tuesdays and Get 20% Off

Budget carrier GoAir under a promotional offer is offering 20 per cent discounts to passengers flying on Tuesdays. The promotional offer, called Happy Tuesdays, is valid till October 13, 2015.

The discount will however be applicable only on base fare. GoAir said that standard cancellation and re-booking policy applies to this discount offer.

Rival Jet Airways has also come up with a discount scheme, offering tickets from Rs 1,248 on select routes. The offer is valid till October 15, 2015.

Another budget carrier AirAsia India has also announced a "Big Sale", offering tickets as low as Rs 890. The booking period of this AirAsia offer is open till September 13, 2015. The offer is applicable on travel from March 1, 2016 to October 29, 2016.

Budget airlines have been coming up with promotional offers almost every other week in a bid to garner market share in a fiercely competitive environment. These promotional schemes by airlines have ensured a spike in the number of people travelling by air.

Passengers carried by domestic airlines in the first seven months till July 2015 rose 21 per cent to 455.78 lakh.
