Drug firm Divi's Laboratories today said its consolidated net profit rose by 23.81 per cent to Rs 216.91 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2012, on account of robust sales during the quarter.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 175.19 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Divi's Laboratories said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 718.04 crore for the fourth quarter, as compared to Rs 479.11 crore during the same period previous financial year.

For the year ended March 31, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 533.26 crore as against Rs 429.27 crore during 2010-11.

The company's net sales for the year ended March 31, 2012 rose to Rs 1,858.59 crore, compared to Rs 1,310.33 crore during 2010-11.

The company's board, which met today, recommended a dividend of Rs 13 per share of Rs 2 each for the year ended March 31, 2012.
