E-commerce giant Flipkart is offering discount on various items under it's limited-period 'The Big Freedom Sale' scheme. Flipkart's offer is available on smartphones, latest gadgets, smart TVs, sleek home appliances, laptops, fashion items, among others, according to e-retailer's official website- flikart.com. The offer is available till August 12, 2018. Under this scheme, Flipkart comes up with a new deal every hour and massive price drops every eight hours. Flipkart's sale offer is launched in order to celebrate country's Independence Day.

Here are 10 things to know about Flipkart's offers under 'The Big Freedom Sale':

1. An additional 10 per cent cashback is available on purchases done via Citi Bank's credit cards during the 'Big Freedom Sale', said Flipkart.

2. Flipkart is giving discount offers on top smartphones' brands like Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi and more. Redmi Note, Asus Zenfone, Honor 9, Google Pixel 2, Smasung Galaxy, Oppo phones, Vivo mobiles are few smartphones on which Flipkart's offer is applicable.

3. Up to 70 per cent discount is available on televisions and home appliances under Flipkart's sale offer.

4. Also, up to 80 per cent discount is available on items like laptops, audio devices, camera, and many more.

5. Flipkart is also offering 40 to 80 per cent of discount on clothing, footwear and accessories under it's 'Big Freedom Sale'.

6. Kitchen essentials ae available at a discount of 40-80 per cent under the sale period.

7. Beauty, toys, books and sports products are available at a starting price of Rs 99.

8. 55 per cent discount is applicable on home essentials.

9. Flipkart's 'Rush Hour' deals under the offer are available from 12 am to 2 am.

10. 'The Freedom Countdown' entailing 31 minutes of continuous price crashes are available from 19:47 pm to 20:18 pm on all days of the sale.

Meanwhile, Amazon India is also offering special deals and discounts on a variety of products under 'Freedom Sale' offer. This sale is also available till August 12.
