Escorts Tractor Sales Up 9% in November

New Delhi: Engineering and farm equipment major Escorts on Tuesday reported a 9.3 per cent increase in tractor sales at 4,706 units last month.

It had sold 4,306 units in the same month last year.

Domestic sales during the month were up 12.2 per cent at 4,691 units compared with 4,181 in November 2014, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

The company said its exports in November this year were down 88 per cent at 15 units as against 125 in the year-ago period.

As of 2:38 p.m., shares in Escorts Ltd were trading 1.75 per cent lower at Rs 171.35 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index was up 0.10 per cent.
