The film co-produced by Eros International in association with Next Gen Films, released across more than 2,000 screens worldwide on November 25, 2011.
Desi Boyz is a fun light entertainer and has taken audiences by storm, especially youngsters. Collections were slightly affected on day one due to certain political unrest in some territories like Maharashtra (Pune, Baramati) etc but the numbers picked up on Saturday and Sunday. Eros is anticipating great word of mouth for the film and looking at the film continuing its good run through the week as well.
In Desi Boyz, director Rohit Dhawan brings back the hit comic pair of Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and John Abraham after seven long years. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Chitrangada Singh with Anupam Kher, Omi Vaidya and Mohnish Bahl in supporting roles and Sanjay Dutt playing an interesting cameo. The music by Pritam has gained huge popularity with some chart topping numbers.
