Dr Reddy's to Market Biocodex Products in Romania

New Delhi: Drug major Dr Reddy's Laboratories on Wednesday said it has signed a pact with Biocodex to market the French-based firm's products in Romania.

The company has entered into a strategic alliance with Biocodex to market and distribute Biocodex products in the Romanian market, Dr Reddy's Laboratories said in a statement.

"Biocodex has announced the change in partnership and effective October 1, 2015, Dr Reddy's has been given the complete rights for promotion and distribution of the Biocodex products across Romania," it added.

Earlier, Akacia was in partnership with Biocodex for a similar distribution pact.

Dr Reddy's will aim to develop the access of the Romanian patients to the Biocodex's product portfolio including its well-known over the counter products Enterol and Otipax, the company said.

As of 2:05 p.m., shares in Dr Reddy's Laboratories were trading 0.56 per cent higher at Rs 4,349.75 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index was up 0.2 per cent.
