The annual spring time festival- Akshaya Tritiya that is being celebrated today (May 14) across India, is considered an auspicious day by many communities. The word 'Akshaya' means endless or forever, while ‘Tritiya' represents the third day of the lunar cycle. With the DigiGold platform, Airtel Payments Bank's savings account customers can invest in 24K gold using the Airtel Thanks mobile app. Customers can also gift DigiGold to their friends or family, provided they have a savings account with Airtel Payments Bank.

The gold purchased by customers is stored securely by SafeGold at no additional cost and can be sold through the Airtel Thanks app at any time. Also, there is no minimum investment value requirement and customers can start with as low as one rupee.

3. Digital Gold Through Paytm

E-commerce payment system company Paytm, had partnered with MMTC-PAMP to launch the 'Digital Gold' platform that allows customers to buy and sell gold through the electronic platform.

Customers can purchase 24K 999.9 purity gold online and store it in MMTC-PAMP's secure vaults free of charge, using their Paytm mobile wallets.

Customers can also request for gold to be delivered at their homes in the form of the minted coins or sell it back online to MMTC-PAMP.
