Crompton Greaves Surges on Bagging LED Lamp Order

Shares of Crompton Greaves advanced nearly 3 per cent in the morning deals on Thursday after the company said that it won three orders for supply of 4 million LED lamps.

 

Crompton Greaves in a press release said that it has won three orders from Energy Efficiency Services, a joint venture set up by the Power Ministry, REC, NTPC, PFC and Power Grid for supply of 4 million LED lamps. 

 

The move is part of government's plan to boost energy efficiency through widespread use of LED technology based lighting solutions in the country.

 

The shares of Crompton Greaves opened at Rs 183 and touched high of Rs 185. The stock ended 0.7 per cent higher at Rs 181.
