Shares of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical (CGCE) were volatile on Thursday. The electrical appliances company post market hours on Wednesday reported its March quarter numbers.
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical reported a standalone net profit of Rs 66.61 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 1.87 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Shares of CGCE in early trade today jumped as much as 3.44 per cent at intraday high of Rs 150. But it came under heavy selling pressure at higher levels and fell 7 per cent from its intraday high level to hit Rs 139 at day's low amid heavy trading volumes.
Trading volumes on the counter saw a huge spike as over 3 million shares changed hands on the BSE, compared to an average of 8.16 lakh shares since getting listed on May 13.
The company was listed recently after being demerged from the parent firm Crompton Greaves.
Shares of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical ended 3 per cent lower at Rs 141.55.
