Meininger, a part of Cox and Kings, has signed a long-term lease agreement for the Amsteltower hotel in Amsterdam.
Meininger is a subsidiary of the European education and leisure specialist activity travel group Holidaybreak, which was acquired by Cox and Kings in 2011.
The Amsteltower hotel near the Amstel station in Amsterdam will have 165 rooms and 802 beds and is going to be the second Meininger hotel in the city, Cox and Kings said in a release on Tuesday.
Meininger, which at present operates 16 hotels in 10 European cities, is a hybrid concept of combining the service and comfort of a hotel with the nature of a hostel in strategic locations and is positioned for business travellers, individual guests, families, school trips and tour groups.
India-headquartered Cox & Kings operates across four continents and 25 countries.
In India, the travel company has 12 branch sales offices and 150 franchisees.
