Ceat Posts 30% Rise in Q2 Profit

New Delhi: Tyre maker Ceat on Tuesday posted a 30.41 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 107.4 crore for the fiscal second quarter that ended on September 30, 2015.

The company had registered a net profit of Rs 82.35 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.

Net sales of the company, however, declined to Rs 1,399.99 crore for the second quarter as compared to Rs 1,425.76 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year, Ceat Ltd said in a filing to the BSE.

Shares in Ceat, on Tuesday, ended 0.6 per cent lower at Rs 1,177.75 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index finished down 0.4 per cent.
